“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.” Galatians‬ ‭6:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s easy to compare our life to the life of others. Pastors, it’s easy to compare our ministries to the ministries of others. We compare salvation, attendance, facilities, creativity, bells and whistles, etc. We often spend so much time looking at the field next to ours that we overlook the health of our own.

This is a great reminder to pay close attention to what God has called us to. Our satisfaction, fulfillment, purpose, and worth should not come from anything other than the result of hard work toward the calling and purpose God has placed on us.

Are you working as hard as you should?
Are you as focused as you should be?
Are you taking proper care of your field?

I’d love to hear about your successes and failures. How can I help?
