Well hello there, it’s been a while. So as I’ve been MIA life has been turning at a rapid pace. Here’s a little glimpse of my world these past few months.
Cultivate Church Columbiana Campus
In January we launched a second campus of Cultivate Church about 30 minutes from our present location. We had about 50 people traveling an average of 40 minutes to our Alabaster campus who had been mentioning the desire for a campus in their area. So we began the process of remodeling a facility in September and launched weekly worship experiences in January. The campus is doing well with around 200 weekly, salvation and baptism happening, and people joining our serve teams. This new venture has consumed most of our time.
Brandon Doss and I along with our pastor Frankie Powell launched “The Vine.” The Vine is a network for pastors, leaders, and missionaries. Our heart is to be a support system for those on the front lines of ministry. We held a launch dinner earlier this month and had a great response. I can’t wait to see how it’s going to be a blessing to pastors. You can find more info at www.vinenetwork.org
In the middle of all of the fun mentioned above Asher will be two in May and Jen and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage this year in December. We have a to-do list a mile long at our home for spring projects to fit in somewhere, but we are having a blast together. Jen is the hardest worker I know and is the greatest gift to me.
So life has been busy to say the least. When things get extra busy something tends to suffer and my presence here took the hit. But that’s how life goes. Thanks for stopping by for a little glimpse into our lives.
What has filled your time this year?
