Back in the 80’s and early 90’s New York experienced a great deal of vandalism, crime, and destructive behavior from citizens. This created a lot of empty, rundown, and vandalized buildings. This was until the broken window theory was implemented from James Q Wilson. The theory says that when a window is broken and someone fixes it, that is a sign that disorder will not be tolerated. But “one un-repared broken window is a signal that no one cares, and so breaking more windows costs nothing.”

So what are the broken windows in your life. Leaving them un-repaired is a sign to others, and the enemy that you have given up hope. This is a great time to set order in your life.

Order communicates priority. There is is an order to everything. Here are three ways to begin placing order in your life:

1. Start with the Spiritual (Prayer, scripture, etc.)

2. Combine with Practical (Set goals, time management, budget, etc.)

3. Finish with Results (Evaluate your success)

Decide today there will be no broken windows in 2015!
